A Little Bagel Care

Good bagels deserve a little love.

How should I store my bagels on delivery day?

Enjoy your bagels fresh on delivery day, keeping them in their original white paper bags until ready to eat. If saving some for another day, freeze them around 3–4 PM on delivery day rather than refrigerating them, which speeds up staling.

What is the best way to freeze my bagels?

Fold over the tops of the original white paper bags, place them inside a large sealable freezer bag, press out excess air and seal before freezing; no individual wrapping or pre-slicing is needed. For best quality, enjoy within two to three months.

How do I reheat a frozen bagel?

For a whole frozen bagel, preheat the oven to 350°F, lightly moisten the outside with water and place it directly on the oven rack or a baking sheet; warm until heated through, typically 10–15 minutes depending on your oven. If you prefer it toasted, slice and use your toaster; fresh bagels need no toasting.
