Fresh-squeezed orange juice is one of those things that makes very little sense until you drink it.
Oranges are heavy.
They take up a ridiculous amount of room.
They need to be squeezed.
There is equipment to clean.
Bottles aren't cheap.
And there are many, many easier ways for a small bakery to sell orange juice.
Unfortunately, fresh-squeezed orange juice tastes fantastic.
So here we are.
We squeeze ours ourselves and bottle it for our breakfast deliveries around Collingwood, Wasaga Beach and The Blue Mountains.
There isn't a complicated recipe.
It's oranges.
That's it.
We started doing it because we wanted our breakfast packs to feel like someone had actually made you breakfast rather than assembled a collection of products.
Fresh bagels.
Whipped cream cheese.
Fresh-squeezed orange juice.
It's definitely more work.
It's also breakfast.
We think that's worth the trouble.
