Thanksgiving dinner gets all the attention.
We think breakfast deserves a little love too.
A bagel board is one of the easiest ways to feed family and friends on a Thanksgiving morning, especially when everyone wakes up at a different time.
Start with a mix of bagels — Plain, Everything, Sesame, Poppy Seed, Cinnamon Twist, Apple Cinnamon or whatever your family loves.
Then keep the rest simple.
Add cream cheese, butter and preserves. Put out sliced fruit. Add eggs, bacon or smoked salmon if you want something more substantial. Coffee and fresh orange juice take care of the rest.
There are no rules. That’s really the point.
Put everything in the middle of the table and let people build their own breakfast while the kitchen slowly comes to life.
It works particularly well on Thanksgiving because nobody wants to spend the morning making another complicated meal when there is already a turkey waiting for its turn in the oven.
Good bagels. Good coffee. People you like around the table.
That sounds like a pretty good Thanksgiving morning to us.
